    I hired James a few weeks ago to bring my movie / family room dream to life. Having had issues in the past with getting the right paint and color, James came in with a fresh outlook and taking pride in his work as if it were his own. He listened to everything I said and gave his feedback with a new perspective, leading to the greatest outcome for our project than we could have hoped for. James was extremely personable, and his skill was only matched by his attention to detail. I enjoyed James’ work so much I wanted to invite him over once the remaining of the project is complete so he could experience the dream came true. I will undoubtedly use James for every painting project going forward, as I’ve never met someone who loves what they do as he does.     James did an amazing job on my kitchen! We needed our new woodwork, trim, new doors and the walls painted. James was on time and efficient! The job was neat, and clean which was important to me as well as a job well done. I had a only a few inches above my new cabinets and figured I would leave it white because of difficulty of painting it. I came home to find James had painted this area and it looked incredible!!! ! I was so grateful that he had a better vision than I did! My doors, trim, woodwork, and walls were all painted to my “picky” standards. When I finish my next project, I will definitely have James back to paint it! See more See less

    Highly recommend James and his company. He painted our foyer, dining room, living room, family room and kitchen and completely transformed it in the most beautiful way! He took the time to help us choose colors for such a large open space and his expert opinion was greatly appreciated. He treats his work like art and makes sure every detail is perfect. He immediately responded whenever we had a question, and the huge job was complete efficiently and timely. We will definitely be using this company again in the future for other areas of our home!     James and Home Base Coatings are quality painters. Last year, they painted our basement and stairway. This year, they painted our two-story foyer and stairway, including the ceiling. They did a great great job and were very professional. I would highly recommend them! See more See less

    James and his crew did an amazing job with my dining room and my hallway foyer and informal dining room. The guys are so skilled that they can just run the paintbrush along the ceiling and no mistakes. James offered me options to look at other colors that he recommended would compliment my color scheme.     James (and team) did a phenomenal job on my new home! He tended to the little imperfections in my walls that most would not notice alone fix. He totally saw my vision and helped me pick the perfect colors which completely transformed the space! I initially planned on only having my upstairs done, however added my entire basement to the project which James was able to accommodate. I will absolutely have James back when I am ready to update the rest of the house and cannot recommend enough! See more See less

    We hired James to paint our bathroom a few years back and he did an awesome job, so when we decided to paint our dining room this past spring it was a no-brainer that we wanted him for that job as well. With both projects James was patient, transparent about his process, and offered lots of input for the colors we chose. I had a deep blue picked out for the bathroom, however he suggested a similar shade that was a more precise fit for the look I was going for – and it was spot on. James went above and beyond when it came time for me to choose a color for the dining room, which I hemmed and hawed on for a very long time. I knew I wanted a deep, moody shade of green and he helped me to whittle it down to the perfect choice…and gave me the courage to drench the entire room which is just gorgeous and creates the exact ambiance I was aiming for. It’s dark, it’s moody, it’s lush & velvety - I’m in love. We really appreciate James’ attention to detail, and most importantly his prep of the walls and room to ensure the perfect finish; our home is almost 100 years old so this is no easy task! We have lots of projects on the docket and are grateful to have found the best guy for job! See more See less

    I hired James to a few weeks ago to paint the interior of my condo. Phase 1 was the living room, dining room, all window trim, baseboards, all ceilings, hallway and 6 interior doors. From the moment I contacted him he listened to what I wanted gave me great alternative color ideas and of course the price was right! James and his crew are professional, clean and they all take pride in their work and the outcome shows. Superior, Excellent and just an unbelievable transformation.     James of Home Base Coating did a phenomenal job on my house! We have 22 ft ceilings (center hall colonial) in our foyer, and James painted our home with high quality paint, and was very reasonably priced! James is a true professional with a great personality that makes you feel like your home is his top priority!     James painted our newly renovated kitchen, dining, living room, and hallway and it turned out incredible! His knowledge about paint is better than anyone we’d worked with in the past. He did a great job sanding/filling 40 year old beat up trim. He made our ceiling look as smooth as glass, I didn’t think it was possible! His edges are super crisp at every corner and transition. James is also very friendly, professional, and well priced. I highly recommend him. He’ll be our only call for our next paint project. See more See less

He was extremely patient with us as we had been going back and forth trying to determine paint colors and manufacturers. His attention to detail is top notch and the quality of his work is great. You can see how passionate he is about his craft and he is truly an artist. He completed the job in a timely manner and we will definitely be calling him back for more as we continue to renovate.     I hired James & his crew to paint 3 rooms & a bathroom. From the prep work they put in just to begin with a fresh new wall to perfecting the trim in each room was beyond! I asked for some recommendations and James was on point with trend and made my house look brand new. They were passionate with extreme attention to detail.
